Destinations

Destinations are ways to reach a specific application, user, mailbox etc. Destinations can be selected in inbound routes and some applications. The following destinations are usually available:

Generally available destinations

a channel as destination will simply ring the selected phone/client. No voicemail, forwarding or any other settings will apply. Regardless whether there the channel is assigned to a user or not.

This will reach any of the internally configured conference rooms. See Applications -> Conferencing.

This will reach the internal dial-by-name directory. See System -> Voicemail for a list of configured directory entries.

This will reach any of the internally configured extensions. This is the same as if you were dialing an extension. In most cases this will be used to dial an extension or number outside of the system (using outbound routing) or a custom dialplan configuration. See also Manual Dialplan Configuration.

This will reach any of the internally configured call groups. See Applications -> Groups.

This will reach any of the internally configured call groups. See Applications -> IVRs.

This will reach any of the internally configured mailboxes. This is the same as dialing **[mailbox number]

If installed this will reach the selected on-call mailbox. See Applications -> On Call.

This will reach any of the internally configured queues. See Applications -> Queues.

This will reach the service IVR. See Service IVR.

This will reach a configured user (needs to be present as user and have an associated mailbox).
